Gamma Sigma Sigma Events
Sig Dinners: Happen one Sunday of every month to announce the sig and butt of the month as well as to have great food!!
This is a great event to keep in touch with your sisters towards the end of every month!
Black and White Party: Once a year the Ladies of GSS get together and they bring a date to a fabulous
black and white affair.
Lock-in: Once a year the girls of GSS participate in a sisterhood event where they spend the night playing games doing bonding
activities to get to know their sisters better
Winter Formal: This event comes around every December. This is a fun event where we all can come
together in sisterhood and have a good time. We honor members with in our sorority that have made us proud with an outstanding
number of Service Hours or Chapter Betterment. This event also comes with the anouncement of our Sig Sweetheart.
Sig Sleepover: This is a very fun event that we do one to two times a year. This event gives
us all a chance to bond. Durning the night we watch movies, eat food, do makeovers, and cuddle up in blankets and talk.
Who knows what fun things you will learn about your sisters at the sleepover!
Roller skating with the gentlemen of Tau Kappa Epsilon: Once a semster we journey over
to Wisconsin to strap on roller skates and skate around seeing who'll fall first and playing games provided by the business.
Bowling with Alpha Phi Omega: Come and get to know the gentle men of Alpha Phi Omega
while bowling, socializing and eating!!! It will be a blast
Sisterhood Events: Gamma Sigma Sigma has many sisterhood events every semester that give the members
a chance to grow closer with each other and have fun.
Battle of the sexes with Tau Kappa Epsilon: Every semester the pledges of Gamma Sigma Sigma and Tau
Kappa Epsilon have a battle of the sexes. The pledges choose events that they think they could beat the other sex at. This
is a fun event that teaches our pledges how to work well with another organization to put something together.
All Sorority Events: The sororities from UMD make it a point to schedual events just for us girls.
This gives us a chance to become better friends with all the sororities on campus.
Pumpkin carving contest with Tau Kappa Epsilon: Get out your pumpkin and try to carve something great!
Scary or cute if you can carve something special then the TKE/SIG pumpkin carving contest wants you!
Little Sis Night: Every semester we have a event for the little sis'. The ladies of Gamma Sigma
Sigma plan a special evening in which we all can come together and become closer to our pledges.
Big Sis Night: Every semester the pledges plan an event for thier big sisters. This event brings
little and big sisters together to become closer.
Greek Rush: All the fraternities and sororities on campus come together to promote our organizations.
This is an event where people can come and learn about our sorority and they can let us know if they are interested in joining.
Singled Out: This is a fundraiser for the sorority and a great event for everyone to come to! This is
the Singled Out game. Looking to hook up, watch a show, or win prizes? Then this is the event for you.
Parents Banquet: Every spring semester Gamma Sigma Sigma invites thier parents to a banquet in thier
honor. This gives the parents a chance to learn what thier children have been doing and what the sorority is all about. (Service,
Friendship, and Equality)
Spring Banquet: Spring Banquet is a very special event. This is a time of change. Gamma Sigma Sigma
goes away together for a weekend for this celebration of sorority and friendship. At our banquet dinner the positions of the
sorority are passed down. We also give awards to those members who have gone above and beyond in service and in betterment
for our sorority.
Alumni Banquet: This is a chance for all the alumni to come together for a reunion. It also gives actives
a chance to be with old actives and bond and learn from them.
Greek Week: Greek Week happens in the spring semester each year. All the fraternities and
sororities come together; schedualing fun activities that bring the greek system closer together. This also gives us a opportunity
to to advertize our organization and show our greek pride.
